About Patterson

The City of Patterson is nestled within the northwestern San Joaquin Valley within beautiful Stanislaus County.  Its position in the Modesto metropolitan area places it conveniently along the I-5 corridor, which connects the community to many of California’s major cities.  Patterson maintains a uniquely pleasant, small-town atmosphere surrounded by an agricultural landscape, with such products such as apricots, almonds, walnuts, and various row crops supporting the local economy.  While modest in size, the area is well-served by several outstanding healthcare and educational provides, and together feature a collection of well-maintained park sites, an award-wining golf course and plenty of exciting community events—among the most popular being the Apricot Fiesta.  They city’s street layout, inspired by the great metro areas of Paris, France, and Washington D.C. features a circular format in the central district surrounded by radiating streets.  Patterson is also noted for its numerous trees, especially its historic palm-lined main thoroughfares.
